Sue Davies of Sue Davies Consultancy

Sue was a teacher for 40 years. A Deputy Head for 6 months and a head teacher for 21 years. Sue twice won the Education Prize with the Wales Quality Centre for the work of her school in developing the European Foundation of Quality Management and was also delighted to win the People Development Prize.  During her time as a head teacher she was seconded to Welsh Government. There she was a Branch Manager, leading the strategic development and implementation of the Foundation Phase. Sue mentored head teachers for their NPQH and acted as a Performance Management Consultant. She was the first Chair of the Bridgend Federation of Headteachers. Since retiring from headship Sue has established Sue Davies Consultancy. Before leaving school, Central South Consortium engaged her to write and deliver a Leadership course. She has done this for three years and has worked with some 100 deputy heads, assistant heads and senior leaders from across the region.

Sue is the Director of the Foundation of Community Engagement, where she has developed, in discussion with schools a Pathway for Family and Community Engagement. Community Engagement is a passion of Sue Davies, and she is delighted to be working with so many schools to develop a progressive pathway. Sue is also an NFER researcher and supports schools that are in need of a little TLC.
